Arctic Seminar: Audrey SchillingsFrom a conference dinner to a scientific expedition in the Eidembukta lagoon, Svalbard. On this Arctic Seminar, the Arctic Centre at Umeå University invites Audrey Schillings, Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Physics, and an Arctic Five Fellow. She will present her collaboration with a team from the Marine Research Institute at the Klaipeda University, Lithuania, where she joined on an investigation of a lagoon at the Eidembukta bay, Svalbard.

Seminar Series: Changing Arctic – Tanja JoonaThe seminar series is a collaboration beween the Arctic Graduate Schools at the Arctic Five universities University of Lapland, UiT – The Arctic University of Norway, and Umeå University. Tanja Joona (ULapland) will talk about A Justice Approach to (Economic) Development in the Arctic. Tanja Joona is a Docent in International Law at the University of Lapland, Finland.

Janina Priebe (UMU) will talk about Arctic Biodiversity and Ecosystem Change – Monitoring and Management. Janina Priebe is a researcher in the history of science and ideas, with a focus on environmental history, at Umeå University.
